Easy to Play, Great fun, No complicated rules
Playing the Game
You slide beech wood discs along a narrow board and knock them through gaps to score points. Complete a set, a disc through each gap and you double your score.
Shuffleboard is made up of 3 rounds. In the first round play all thirty discs. In rounds two and three play the discs that are not in the scoring area. Discs in the scoring area can be stacked at the end of each round.
The game's maximum score is 148 points (one better than a snooker break). When you start to play 60+ points is good, 80+ points very good and 100+ points excellent. Shuffleboard is a game of skill so relax and enjoy.
Adding up your score
Add up your score at the end of the game. In the following example there are:
• Three complete sets (3 X 20) = 60
• Five extra discs in gap two (5 X 2) = 10
• Three extra discs in gap three (3 X 3) = 9
• Two extra discs in gap one (2 X 1) = 2
So, the total score = 81
